Pearl's Dress

Very special dress created for an amazing film shot in San Francisco premiering soon...stay tuned.

The body of this dress is an ivory lace tablecloth from the 80's. It has a great sheen to it, sturdy & polyester. The wide neckline is reinforced from the inside, and decorated with a twist of antique cotton bobbinet that hangs in a perfect little delicate scarf. Elastic gathers the cuff - wearing this dress feels easy and effortless. A medallion pattern on the center front is highlighted by a black semi-sheer insert making things feel slightly medieval. 

The back bustle and gathers inserted around the thigh is a fine victorian striped sheer cotton textile with lace trim. This feature is intentionally tattered and torn for the sake of feeling old and ghostly. This can be washed (by hand), hung to dry and steamed back into shape for years to come. A subtle train drags behind. Is it a wedding dress? I'd just wear this out to dinner or truly wherever. I feel so very attached to this one it's divine.
